What to expect

Pets may be referred to the Dentistry and Oral Surgery service by their owners or their primary care or referring veterinarians. Please complete the referral form and send any dental radiographs, dental charts or other forms of imaging to [email protected]. When an appointment has been scheduled we will send you a client questionnaire to be completed prior to your pet’s appointment to help us better understand your pet’s oral health needs and concerns. At your initial appointment we will review your pet’s overall health history, perform a thorough physical and oral exam, and come up with a diagnostic treatment plan to be performed under general anesthesia at a later scheduled date. At your initial appointment we will provide an estimate for the anticipated procedure.

For emergent concerns such as jaw fractures, inability to open or close the mouth or severe facial swelling or oral pain please call the front desk at 612-626-8387 and ask them to contact the Dentistry and Oral Surgery service directly during business hours. If after hours the Emergency Service will provide direct assistance and contact the Dentistry and Oral Surgery service.
